Cummings Electrical

Electrical Modeler II

Job Locations
US-TX-Arlington

Overview

Cummings Electrical is hiring an Electrical Designer for our Integrated Manufacturing facility in Arlington, TX.

Cummings Electrical is expanding our Integrated Manufacturing team. We design and build custom, integrated, modular systems such as e-houses, electrical skids, HAC’s and UL 508A panels for a wide range of projects, including data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial plants, and more.

As part of our team, you will work hands-on in a fast-paced, innovative environment, helping reduce jobsite risks, accelerate project timelines, and deliver high-quality solutions. If you are looking for growth, meaningful work, and a chance to be part of a team shaping the future of off-site integration and manufacturing, this is the place to make an impact.

Responsibilities

The Modeler Level II bridges the gap between raw engineering specifications and physical constructability. This
position independently owns the mid-level 3D modeling environment, leading spatial coordination and clash
resolution for dense data center MEP spaces under general guidance.

• Family Customization: Modify and build intermediate parametric Revit smart-families with accurate
structural connector elements.
• System Integration: Embed critical technical parameters (voltages, phase data, mechanical connections)
directly into 3D models.
• Sub-System Modeling: Model advanced electrical topologies, complex grounding grids, and detailed
containment structures independently

MEP Coordination: Strong grasp of structural structural elements, mechanical HVAC ducts, and plumbing
constraints within data centers.
• Clash Resolution Logic: Clear logic on priority routing (e.g., gravity-fed lines take precedence over
electrical conduits).
• Modular Assemblies: Familiarity with prefabricated modular systems, skids, and multi-trade rack
configurations.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in CAD Drafting, Electrical Technology, or a Bachelor's degree in Electrical
Engineering.
• Experience: 4-6 years of professional experience, ideally exposed to mission-critical facility infrastructure or
industrial designs.
• Knowledge Base: Familiarity with baseline terms from the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Excellent benefits package includes:

  • Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability Insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Supplemental Insurance: Accident & Critical Illness
  • FSA
  • 401K & ROTH 401K
  • Paid Time Off
  • Company Paid Holidays
  • Bonus Plan
