Overview

Cummings Electrical is hiring an Electrical Designer for our Integrated Manufacturing facility in Arlington, TX.

 

Cummings Electrical is expanding our Integrated Manufacturing team. We design and build custom, integrated, modular systems such as e-houses, electrical skids, HAC’s and UL 508A panels for a wide range of projects, including data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial plants, and more.

Responsibilities

• Designing: Assist in basic electrical system design for data center spaces, including lighting, standard receptacle
layouts, and basic containment paths.
• Modeling: Execute 3D modeling tasks for electrical components, routing pathways, and electrical rooms based on
markups and defined engineering constraints.
• Understanding of Concepts: Demonstrate basic knowledge of electrical engineering principles (Ohm's law, voltage
drop, basic single-line structural concepts, and power flows).
• Creating Sheets & Developing Contract Documents: Set up project sheets, structure structural drawing packages,
integrate schedules, and translate design drafts into formalized contract documents.

Autodesk Revit (BIM): Baseline proficiency modeling basic conduit, cable tray systems, and populating equipment
families.
• Autodesk AutoCAD: Proficient in 2D drafting, managing external references (Xrefs), and maintaining drawing
hygiene.
• Bluebeam Revu: Document markup tracking, scaling, and processing architectural drawings.
• MS Office / Google Workspace: Managing data entries in equipment and panel spreadsheets.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in CAD Drafting, Electrical Technology, or a Bachelor's degree in Electrical
Engineering.
• Experience: 0 to 2 years of professional experience, ideally exposed to mission-critical facility infrastructure or
industrial designs.
• Knowledge Base: Familiarity with baseline terms from the National Electrical Code (NEC).
