Product Design Technician - Integrated Manufacturing

Cummings Electrical, a leading electrical contractor in the DFW area, is growing! Our Integrated Manufacturing business focuses on building partnerships with our mission-critical clients to provide world-class modular electrical buildings.  We are currently seeking a hard-working, experienced Product Design Technician to join our Integrated Manufacturing team!

• Assist in the preparation of layouts, details, schematics, and assemblies.
• Maintain drawing standards and ensure quality control on all deliverables.
• Revise drawings as needed based on feedback from design reviews and project teams.
• Coordinate with internal departments to incorporate electrical, mechanical, and HVAC system requirements into designs.
• Maintain organized drawing files and project documentation.

Qualifications:
• Associate’s Degree or Certification in Drafting, Design Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Inventor is required.
• Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD (2D & 3D) is a plus.
• Understanding electrical and HVAC systems in a construction environment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interpret construction documents, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and grow under the guidance of senior designers.

Preferred Experience:
• 1+ years of CAD drafting experience in a construction, MEP, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience in creating fabrication or installation drawings.
• Exposure to electrical systems, power distribution, or HVAC design.
