Product Engineering Manager

Overview

Product Engineering Manager - Integrated Manufacturing

Must be able to Lead, mentor, and develop a team of CAD Drafters and Product Engineers to ensure high-quality design output and technical accuracy. Oversee the development of detailed 3D equipment models and production drawing packages using AutoCAD Inventor. Effective at collaborating with Production Managers and Project Managers to align design efforts with production capabilities, project schedules, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain CAD standards, design processes, and quality control procedures for the Product Engineering team.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, accuracy, and standardization in the design and drafting

   process.
• Provide technical guidance and support on complex projects, including electrical and HVAC system integration.
• Ensure the timely delivery of production drawings and design documentation to support manufacturing and field operations.
• Manage workload distribution, project assignments, and performance expectations for the Product Engineering team.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to resolve design challenges and support project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Drafting & Design, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in CAD design/drafting, product engineering, or related roles.
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership or management role overseeing CAD or engineering teams.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Inventor or Solid Works is required.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, HVAC systems, and their application in construction or manufacturing environments

   is required.
• Experience developing and implementing CAD standards, drafting processes, and quality control procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Experience with creating organized and concise drawing sets to drive construction workflow efficiencies.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Experience working with prefabrication or modular construction is a plus.
Preferred Experience:
• Background in electrical construction, mechanical systems, or MEP coordination.
• Experience collaborating with production or manufacturing teams.
• Familiarity with fabrication processes and installation requirements.
