Designated Health & Safety Representative

Cummings Electrical is seeking a DSR to monitor and support health and safety practices on our projects. This role is crucial to the success of our projects by ensuring compliance with company, local, state, and federal safety regulations.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand the health and safety procedures and requirements as established by Cummings Electrical and the project.
  • Advise CELP’s Project team, employees, and subcontractors in safe work practices needed to comply with company safety procedures, project requirements, and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Routinely inspect the project for safety violations and stop any unsafe work practices/conditions.
  • Report all safety incidents and near-misses to Project Manager, CELP Safety Department, and contractor within 24 hours of occurrence, unless otherwise specified by the project.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 3 years of construction safety experience
  • Must have OSHA 500, CSHO, and First Aid/CPR Certifications
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High School diploma
  • Willing to travel to out-of-town projects with per diem.

 

Employment at Cummings is subject to background check and drug screen; must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. 

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
