 We are currently seeking an Electrical Project Foreman with 5+ years of experience for projects involving commercial/industrial electrical construction. Project Foremen are an integral part of the electrical construction process and are responsible for scheduling, monitoring, and controlling the day-to-day execution of the work, progress, and performance of the project. This role is also responsible for the administration and control of all aspects of the Cummings site-specific safety and compliance objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Train, manage, and evaluate project team
  • Ability to assist Strategic Account Manager to prepare construction
  • Create, influence, and maintain schedules for proper resource utilization and material
  • Can plan and coordinate material and logistical needs of a project efficiently.
  • Create & maintain daily reports, timesheets, safety and incident
  • Coordinate production and attend meetings with other trades and the client to identify and resolve any
  • Can effectively track production to meet/beat labor goals.
  • Plan, organize, and direct production in accordance with the contracted scope of work.
  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control
  • Coordinate work with Purchasing to ensure that requested material is expedited and received as needed for the construction of a
  • Ensure all installations meet quality and electrical code
  • Ability to build and grow partnerships with clients for continued work.
  • Can build/design effective layout drawings and record drawings.

Working Conditions:

  • Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, and snow.
  • Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Potty’s).
  • Job requires employee to have required personal tools with them at all time (waist tool belt as worn weighs approximately 30 lbs.).
  • Work from all type ladders (step ladders up to 14', "A" frame ladders, and all size extension ladders and carry and relocate up to 12' step ladders by oneself.
  • Employee's personal weight and personal tools cannot exceed weight limit of ladder (Class 1 - 250 lbs., Class 1A - 300 lbs
  • Perform work at various heights, up to 90' from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks or other safe work areas.
  • Work in restricted areas (switchgear room, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, and attics).
  • Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat and safety glasses at all times) and respirator when required.
  • Able to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime as required, and night shifts.

Physical Function:

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.
  • Lift 51 pounds, 20 times per day.
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
  • Constantly moving on your feet.
  • Climb ladders (all types).
  • Completing overhead work for full day assignments.
  • Must be able to make transition from employee parking area or street into construction work areas and to gain access to all levels of the building, even if the only means of access is by O.S.H.A. approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction, but acceptable for use.
  • Possess good vision (normal or corrected).
  • Possess good hearing (normal or corrected).
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions including jobsite directions, maps, and instructional manuals.
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions.

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Must maintain and enforce safety policies on jobsite.
  • 5+ years of electrical construction experience which includes leading large jobs in Industrial/Commercial
  • Can oversee a crew of 10+ electricians.
  • Ability to manage/oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Active Journeyman’s License
  • Proficient with the National Electrical Code
  • Exposure to Bluebeam and/or Salesforce is a
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including excel and familiarity with MS Teams and SharePoint
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must be able to work at project jobsites throughout the DFW/North Texas/Houston as
  • Willingness to travel outside of DFW/North TX/Houston area a
  • Must have an active driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle report.
