  • Overview

    The high school internship is an 8-10 week, hands-on program, designed to identify talent at an early stage. Students will be exposed to the proper skill sets and personal development necessary to begin a successful career in the electrical trade.  

    This is a paid internship program with opportunity of full time employment after graduation. Further career training is available through IEC & CEF.

    As a Prefab Assembly technician, you will work alongside passionate mentors in assembling electrical parts or components that contribute to current electrical projects a while adhering to all safety policies. This provides you with exposure to current building techniques and trends in the industry.


    PROGRAM OUTLINE: Under direct supervision, learn the following efficient prefabrication methods in a
    large controlled setting.

    • Safety Training - the importance of wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
    • Training methods on basic tools, material knowledge and their applications.
    • Basic assembling and wiring methods for electrical equipment and wiring systems according to specifications.



    • Must be a Junior in high school and at least 16 years of age
    • Must have a state issued Driver’s License/ID
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Must be available for the entire duration of the program
    • Must be eligible to work in the United States

    Internship Schedule

    • Orientation: Candidate must be eligible to attend orientation on Friday, 6/7/2019 
    • Program dates: June 7, 2019 - August 2, 2019
    • Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
    • Lunch: 12:00 PM – 12:45 PM
