  • Overview

    The Senior Recruiter will lead recruiting employment marketing initiatives, branding campaigns, internal referral programs, and develop employee engagement metrics and retention. Devise strategy and the recruitment process, as well as actual execution of the sourcing or recruiting campaign. Qualified candidate may be involved not only in finding and screening candidates, but developing the corporate policy for talent bench-marking, talent assessment, and interviewing policies.

    This role does not end with on-boarding of employees; rather, they ensure the ongoing and future organizational talent demands are met, exceeded, and measured. The ideal candidate would have strong communication skills as well as effectively prioritize and complete multiple tasks throughout the day.

    • Partner with the HR Director to understand recruitment needs and hiring dynamics of the Company.
    • Provide management oversight of recruiting accounts, initiatives and procedures.
    • Provide recruitment counsel and guidance to hiring managers and HR professionals with hiring and employment.
    • Work collaboratively with hiring managers to understand business objectives and candidate requirements for open positions.
    • Assist with both external and internal hiring efforts (internal recruitment meaning assessment of employees for different or more senior roles.)
    • Counsel the candidate on benefits, salary, and environment.
    • Develop recruitment strategy. This may include job posting optimization, recruiting marketing channel development, job board procurement, digital and non-digital employment marketing, comprehensive recruitment campaign planning, talent planning, etc.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable statutes and regulations related to the Company’s recruiting efforts.
    • Identify and source appropriate talent for current open roles within the organization, or future talent needs by developing talent pool or social engagements.
    • Use applicant tracking systems and other recruiting software and system to track applicants through the selection phase through to on-boarding.
    • Use social media, job boards, Internet sourcing, and other technical means to source candidates for open jobs.
    • Conducts presentations at high schools and technical schools. Establishes and maintains relationships with area schools.
    • Participate in employment events, such as career fairs.
    • Manage college and high school recruiting programs, and execute and manage summer internship programs.
    • Manage and guide development of employment resources.
    • Develop relationships with third party recruitment agencies and staffing firms and manage the procurement and measurement process.
    • Provide superior customer service to candidates and internal & external customers throughout the recruitment process; ensure all verbal and written communications are accurate, clear, concise and professional.
    • Identify real and potential recruitment & employment-related concerns and escalate to the HR Director
    • Track and use key metrics to drive continuous improvements regarding candidate sourcing, recruitment decisions and the quality of hires
    • Analyze and provide reports to Operations teams with summary of recruiting efforts
    • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.


    • This position requires a flexible schedule
    • Bachelor's degree along with 1 year of Human Resources experience or an Associate's degree and 3 years recruiting experience or any appropriate combination of education and experience as determined by management.
    • Proven commitment to their past employers demonstrated by 5 or more years at each previous company (Please explain if you have less than four years at any single company.)
    • Must be able to meet multiple individual and team deadlines in a fast paced, changing, dynamic work environment with changing priorities.
    • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally in course of work
    • Strong computer skills, proficiency with MS Office required (Word, Excel & Outlook), experience with automated applicant tracking systems, and experience leveraging technology and social media platforms.
    • Hands-on experience with sourcing techniques (e.g. recruiting on social platforms and crafting Boolean search strings)
    • Ability to exercise effective judgment, confidentiality, sensitivity and creativity to changing needs and situations while meeting deadlines.
    • Team-oriented and willing to contribute to the overall workflow of the department.
    • Ability to drive direct sourcing strategies to reduce reliance on contingent placement firm.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively handle a full requisition load as required.
    • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple placement needs in a fast-paced environment.
    • An in-depth knowledge of assessment techniques, including behavioral interviewing, is essential and previous experience recruiting with blue-collar sectors will be highly regarded.
    • A combination of agency and in-house corporate experience highly desirable.
    • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certificate is preferred but not required.
